I would like to give everyone an update on our Parks & Recreation programs and youth baseball and softball program. It is important to note that we will continue to follow the President’s and Governor’s guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
All Parks & Recreation activities have halted, including athletic events and gatherings to limit contact with the public to help prevent the further spread of the virus. We are also following the recommendations of the BRHS/MS and LES school closures.
These safeguards will be in place until we re-evaluate, which will most likely take place in early to mid-April. Our staff members are working diligently to disinfect the entire Community Center facility and are available by phone and email daily.
Here are some answers to questions you may have:
The Community Center is closed to the public until further notice
Open gym and indoor activities will not take place until we re-open
Youth Baseball and Softball practice will not be held indoors or outdoors until the recreation department re-opens
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt has been postponed
I will continue to update you on “what’s happening” as news becomes available. Until then, thank you for your patience, stay safe, continue to wash your hands and if you are feeling ill, please stay at home.
